The last show of the year is in the books. The American Haflinger Registry National Futurity. We were honored to have 8 horses in the futurity, 6 of our own, and 2 client. After 16 years of Mike and I breeding, training, and showing Haflingers on our own, this was a great way to end. Yesterday was a very sad, and yet also exciting day. You see, not very often do our horses not work for our clients. We evaluate the pairing carefully before selling any of our horses to insure a good match. However, when goals and dreams change, sometimes the pairing doesn’t work out. We have more than just Haflingers! Pictured here is our 10 year old son, Johnathan, with his 4-H fair turkeys. We started the spring with offering our lovely Miniature mare, Belle, for a lease. Our friend Christina Miller was looking for a pony for her daughter to learn with. Today, Belle will officially become a member of the Miller family and will continue to teach children in a safe way.
